Since 1988 our mission at Urban Promise has been to equip Camden's children and young adults with the skills necessary for academic achievement, life management, spiritual growth, and Christian leadership. We strive to fulfill this mission through after-school programs, summer camps, two schools, experiential learning, job training, and a host of other programs that challenge youth to develop and realize their potential.  Work Groups will spend about half of their time working with children in our after-school programs and the remaining half assisting with facility upkeep and small construction projects. Activities with youth include homework assistance, spiritual development, arts and crafts, sports, and special events. Labor projects, both skilled and unskilled, range from light building repair, painting, cleaning, and grounds upkeep.
