Course description:
  • Students will attend classes at The Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin, Republic of Ireland.  While in Dublin, students will also take in cultural experiences in museums, galleries, theatres and other cultural highlights such as the The Book of Kells and Trinity College. Students are also encouraged to take side-trips to towns such as Cork, Galway, Cobh and Kilkenny as well as take in the natural beauty of The Cliffs of Moher, Glendalough and The Wicklow Mountains.  Students stay walking distance to the popular Temple Bar neighborhood in the heart of Dublin.CC Ireland - Photo

Faculty Biographies:

  • Ed Cohn is in his 24th year as a Professor of Theatre at Messiah University and also still works professionally as an Actor and Director.  His relationship with the Gaiety School of Acting extends to before his time at Messiah University.  Originally from New York, Ed has been to Ireland several times, and is 3/4 Irish.

  • “Know Before You Go”
    • Non-Theatre and Musical Theatre majors may be asked to audition to attend The Gaiety School of Acting
    • Course fee covers tuition at The Gaiety School of Acting, housing, air fare and assigned cultural activities.
    • Students must arrange for travel to and from the airport stateside.
    • Students will have access to Wifi and can usually arrange for their cell plans to have international coverage in advance of departure if their plans do not already carry that feature.
